Revenue orchestration
What is revenue orchestration?
Revenue orchestration is the practice of coordinating every step of the go-to-market motion on one shared view of the account, instead of running targeting, prospecting, research, deal work and engagement in separate tools. An orchestration layer holds the context, decides the next action for each account, prepares that action, and hands it to a seller for approval. The CRM still records the outcome.
What it replaces
Most revenue teams operate a stack of point tools: one for intent data, one for contact data, one for sequencing, one for call recording, one for content. Each tool holds part of the context and none holds the deal. The seller becomes the integration layer, copying between systems and deciding what matters.
Orchestration inverts that. The account context lives in one place, and the tools become inputs and outputs around it.
The parts of an orchestration layer
- A shared object that represents the account and the people who decide, not just a list of records.
- Signals coming in from the CRM, inbox, calendar, product usage and third-party intent.
- A decision step that picks the next best action per account rather than per contact.
- Preparation: research, drafts, business cases, briefs, produced before the seller opens the account.
- Review and approval by the seller, then write-back to the CRM and the engagement tools.
How to tell orchestration from automation
Automation executes a rule you wrote. Orchestration decides what should happen next given the current state of the account, then prepares it. The test is simple: if a change in the deal does not change what the system produces, you have automation.
Where Agentive fits
Agentive is a revenue orchestration layer for enterprise go-to-market teams. It builds the Buying Group Graph for each account, runs twelve specialized agents on top of it, and prepares the next move. Agents draft and prepare, the seller approves anything consequential. It reads from and writes back to the CRM rather than replacing it.
